ADDED: GEN II GTS gas cap to blue GEN V GTS…

I’ve always liked the gas cap on the GEN II GTS, so when the new GEN V GTS came out with the gas cap on the side of the rear fender, I was a little disappointed. Not that the new one looks bad, but since they had gone back to the classic GTS look, I figured they would have carried that feature over. Oh well, I didn’t design the car. Anyway, I decided to add one to the blue GEN V GTS that I did. So that it’d be correct, I also reversed the ‘GTS’ emblem on the side to face the proper direction, as well as the watermarks from the photographer.

Dodge’s GEN V Viper GTS-R ALMS car as a streetable vert…

Dodge unveiled the all new SRT GEN V Viper back in April of this year. I was fortunate enough to make it to the VCA’s (www.viperclub.org) private unveiling of the new Viper in NYC. It was a blast to say the least. Drinks, BEAUTIFUL women, Vipers and an awesome city. The street legal car and the new ALMS race car were both unveiled that night. My prediction of that night was true… People liked the look and aggressiveness of the race car much more than the subdued street car. Now, don’t get me wrong… To say Vipers are “subdued” is really just crazy talk, but compared to the race version, the street car looked like a pup.

The talk on the Viper forums has remained, that they race version looks better. This is what lead me to make a street version (coupe and vert) of the race version.

I’ll post the vert first.

This PS took a bit of time, as I had to take off all of the badging, wing and a few other things just to give it more a street car look. I then had to change the wheels, and of course the big task, make it a convertible!

Hope everyone enjoys!
