GEN V ‘Track Edition’…

I’m a track/race car kinda guy and love the look of those types of cars. I’ve been working on this render for a few days now and finally think I may be finished; that’s a lie because I’m always changing things on my renders! lol…

I changed so much, I wont list it all right now, but I did quite a bit to this pic. No ‘before’ picture on this one, as the ‘before’ is a few posts down.

Hope everyone is enjoying the site and the renders!

ALMS GTS-R as a STREET Coupe…

I had found this great pic, along with many others, of the new Dodge Viper ALMS race car on eGarages Flickr site. I wanted to make it a street car, so for a couple of hours I debadged it and took off all of the stickers. l then changed the color and added a new interior, directly from the new GEN V Viper street car. I, along with many others are crossing our fingers and toes that SRT comes out with a street car that matches the width and aggressive looks of this car. I’ve done a couple of renditions of this render, but will post them at a later date.

Here is a link to eGarages Flickr site. Lots of great automotive pictures from these guys!

SRT posted one of my renders on their FB page!! Near 5k ‘Likes’!!!

Facebook is that huge place to go look at peoples profiles and get jealous of how well their lives are going compared to yours. Damn, did I just type that? Oh well. Anyway, SRT has chosen to post one of my renders on their FB page. Being I’m not on FB, I was not aware of this until a buddy of mine from the VCA linked me to it. To say it made me happy would be a little of an understatement, as I always secretly wonder if SRT has seen my PS’s, as I know they read the forums.

As happy, honored and flattered that I am about it, I do wonder two things… Why did they not give me credit for the rendering part of it, and secondly, why they didn’t chose to post the most recent and updated version of this particular render? The second question, eh who really cares (except for me). Granted, the pic was taken at the Conner plant, and I assume by the SRT team(?), but no credit was given to me for the rendering part of the pic.

Oh well for now. Again, Im still happy that they chose to post it. It has near 5k ‘Likes’!!! Thanks to anyone who reads their FB page and ‘Liked’ the pic.

Here is a link to the updated version of the render they posted, as well as the direct link to their post and their FB Wall posting.

Black GEN V Viper + black D2 Forged Wheels = AGGRESSIVE!

ADDED: GEN II GTS gas cap to blue GEN V GTS…

I’ve always liked the gas cap on the GEN II GTS, so when the new GEN V GTS came out with the gas cap on the side of the rear fender, I was a little disappointed. Not that the new one looks bad, but since they had gone back to the classic GTS look, I figured they would have carried that feature over. Oh well, I didn’t design the car. Anyway, I decided to add one to the blue GEN V GTS that I did. So that it’d be correct, I also reversed the ‘GTS’ emblem on the side to face the proper direction, as well as the watermarks from the photographer.

Blue and Black GEN V GTS’s with Vossen Wheels…

I was filtering through all of the new Viper pics on Flickr, when I came across this great new GEN V pic. It’s a studio pic that I had never seen before. I knew it’d make for a good base on a Photoshop. I really liked the wheels I added to the silver GEN V (a few posts down), so I decided to add them to this PS as well. They really fit the car. Although the Stryker Red has really grown on me, I’d still like to see more pics of different colors. Yes, I know, there have been GEN V mules running around in black, yellow, blue, white and red, but I changed this blue a tad. 99.999999% of the time I lower a Viper, as they have that dreaded 4×4 wheel-gap, so this car got the “go-low” treatment.

Edit: I’ve added a black version. More colors to come!

Thanks to Steven Pham Photography for the great pic.

Black GEN V Viper + black D2 Forged Wheels = AGGRESSIVE!

This car started out painted in Stryker Red. Looking to give the new GEN V a more aggressive appeal, I decided to change the color to black. Going with the black theme, I chose to add some all black D2 Forged Wheels. The lip on the rear wheel wasn’t deep enough for my liking, so I brought the center of the wheel in a little to give it more depth. I’ve also lowered the car and pushed the wheels/tires out a tad past flush to add to the aggressive look I was going for. The new stance really fits this car. This is one of my favorite renderings as of late.

FORZA GEN V SRT Viper w/Vossen Wheels…

This awesome picture of a silver GEN V SRT Viper started out as a high-quality screenshot, from the brand new Forza Motorsport 4 game, out for XBOX 360. I’ve added new Vossen wheels and a more aggressive stance, with the wheels/tires pushed out a tad past flush. It may only be a video game screenshot, but it made for one great PS rendering!

Enjoy!
